Wreck diving is always a thrill as numerous animals tend to gravitate toward this structures underwater. Also it is a humbling and unique experience to explore the wrecks inner hulls and chambers. This of course is only for the more experience diver. Unfortunately wrecks are not found around Samui but we take this as an excuse to travel to destination that do!

The Lankayan wreck is full of local residents such as glass fish, big groupers and even ghost pipefish (look at unique critters) and the adorable frog fish. When diving wrecks it is always advisable to have a torch with you to enjoy the colors and follow the buddy system.

Holes in wreck provide the stage for interesting underwater photography. When wrecks are in shallow water, they are covered by thick growth of sponges, coral, tunicates and algae which provide colorful backgrounds such as the above.

Photo taken on night dive, Tulamben wreck, Bali, Indonesia These beautiful multicolored sea squirts Rhopalaea crassa are filter feeders and members of the Chordata phylum although they do not look like they posses a backbone. They can occur as solitary individuals or densely packed colonies.
